Accessibility statement
The Municipality of Kustavi aims to ensure that its website is accessible in accordance with the European Parliament’s Accessibility Directive. In Finland, the Accessibility Directive is implemented by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services.
The accessibility of the website of the municipality of Kustavi has been checked against the requirements of the WCAG 2.0 AA level and the identified deficiencies have been rectified as far as possible. We are currently continuing the development work.
Full availability of the website requires that JavaScript is not blocked in the browser or in the tools available.
Currently, there are deficiencies in the accessibility of the site in the following areas:
- The website has pdf documents and various text documents as attachments. The documents have not been made using accessible methods, so there are still shortcomings in their accessibility. When new documents are added to a site, their accessibility is better taken into account.
- The service contains links whose operation is incompletely described. (WCAG 3.2.2.). These shortcomings are being addressed.
- The service contains images and image links that are missing text matches. (WCAG 1.1.1). Deficiencies are being corrected and any information contained in the images will be provided in text form.
