Waste management in the municipality of Kustavi
The municipality of Kustavi is responsible for organizing the waste management of private households in the municipality. The waste management authority is the Kustavi municipal construction board.

Waste charges for 2021:
Permanently occupied properties € 200.00 / year
Permanent properties for one person € 99.99 / year
Holiday apartments € 119.99 / year
Waste charges include VAT and waste tax.
The waste fee is invoiced according to the information in the municipality’s land register.
Invoicing for 2021 has been completed and invoices will arrive to payers during April.

Viherlahti Waste Station
Viherlahti Waste Station at Viherlahdentie 239 receives free of charge ferrous scrap, energy waste, clean or surface-treated construction waste, garden waste, waste electrical and electronic equipment, tire scrap, waste cardboard and cardboard, durable wood, window glass, hazardous waste. also larger quantities of plastic packaging, packaging wrappers, canisters, etc.
Hazardous waste from private households is accepted free of charge up to 50 kg or 50 liters. Waste oil from private households (less than 200 liters) and lead-acid batteries are accepted free of charge.
The waste station is open all year round on weekday Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00. Also open on Wednesdays from 16:00 to 19:00 from June to August.

Rinki recycling point
The Rinki recycling point, operated by producer organizations, is located at Kivimaantie 8.
The recycling point has containers for mixed waste, recycled paper, for small metal, for cardboard and paperboard ja lasille and a plastic press for small quantities of household plastic packaging.
The point also has a UFF clothing collection point.
