It is possible to have a personal meeting at a pre-arranged time at the Kustavi municipal office. The social ombudsman works in both private and public social care. The role of the social ombudsman is to advise and assist social care clients in matters related to various social care services. The social ombudsman informs about the customer’s rights and monitors the development of the customer’s rights and position in the municipality.
The Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients also gives the client the opportunity to make a reminder if he or she is dissatisfied with the treatment he or she has received. The social ombudsman advises and assists clients in making a reminder. The social ombudsman can also act as a mediator at the client’s request.
