Long-term care and nursing that supports the dignified life of the elderly is provided primarily through home care and other outpatient social and health care services. The content and quantity of the services are adapted to meet the current service needs of the elderly.
In Kustavi, outpatient care services are provided by a municipal home care unit. The goal is to provide quality good care and service. The goal in Kustavi is that as many older people as possible could live independently for a long time in their own home, in their familiar living and social environment. Home care works in two shifts every day from 8:00 to 20:30.

The tasks of home care include e.g. basic care work, bathing and sauna assistance, transaction assistance such as a shopping service and taking care of the cleanliness of the apartment. Cleaning is not part of the service provided.
