Vakka-Suomi Adult Education Centre

Vakka-Suomi Adult Education Centre was born on 1.1. 2007, when the Citizens’ College of Uusikaupunki and Laitila merged to form a regional centre in Vakka-Suomi. The area of operation of the centre is the entire region of Vakka-Suomi with more than 30,000 inhabitants. The shareholders are Pyhäranta, Vehmaa, Taivassalo and Kustavi. The city of Laitila is responsible for the administration and finances of Vakkaopisto. The associations have their own representatives on the board of the college. Part-time department heads are responsible for operations in their municipality. The centre has offices in Laitila and Uusikaupunki, they serve the residents of the entire domain.
